SUMMARY

The authors have described a rare association between orbital Burkitt 's lymphoma and AIDS CDC (G - IV). The clinical evolution is described. The bilateral orbital and extraocular muscle involvement was documented by tomography and confirmed by orbital biopsy. Cardiac involvement caused the patient 's death 35 days after the hospital admission. Extensive organic involvement was subsequently diagnosed (necropsy).

A literature review discloses only 3 previous case reports of AIDS associated Burkitt 's limphoma involving the orbit. This is the first case reported in Brazil.
